EPDM is an extremely durable synthetic rubber roofing membrane widely used in low-slope roofing. EPDM is available in both black and white, and is sold a variety of widths and thicknesses it can be installed either fully adhered, mechanically attached or ballasted, with the seams of the roofing system sealed with adhesives.
TPO is a blend of polypropylene and ethylene propylene polymers and usually are reinforced with polyester. TPO contains a colorant, flame retardants, UV absorbers and other proprietary substances to achieve desired physical properties. TPO is typically white but is also available in some other colors and is sold in a variety of widths and thicknesses. It like EPDM, can be installed either fully adhered, mechanically attached or ballasted, seams are sealed by heat welding with hot air.
PVC is a flexible thermoplastic membrane with hot air welded seams, reinforced with polyester fabric. This is a great choice for long term solutions for roofs which demand high performance at a lower life cycle cost. There is high UV resistance. It can be installed either fully adhered or mechanically fastened.
